How can I analyze incidents and their causes?

Besides analyzing categories and attributes, do you additionally want to analyze your incidents and their causes? For this purpose you can use the Incident Analysis.

Incident analysis WeASSIST

In the analysis area of WeASSIST, you can create a new incident analysis. Here you only need to define two criteria. To set the time period for the analysis you can choose between an individual or a predefined range.

As report types, choose between the following:

  • Most frequent causes
  • Devices with the most incidents
  • Incidents by duration
  • Average duration of a cause

Report Type Incident Analysis WeASSIST

The Most Common Causes report type uses numbering to show you what the most common causes of incidents were during your specified time period. This shows you where you have the most potential for optimization .

Devices with most incidents WeASSIST

Devices with the most incidents:

Devices are listed using numbering and the number of incidents is also listed. This report shows which Machines or Workplaces should get more attention of yours or maybe should be more supported in the process.

Incidents by duration WeASSIST

Incidents by duration.

Incident with the longest duration is displayed at the top and other incidents are sorted in descending order according to their duration. You can also read out from this analysis how long the respective incident was pending and which cause or causes have been stored for this incident. Here you see at a glance which cause you should get faster troubleshooting.

Average duration of a cause:

In descending order of the duration of the cause, the causes you created that have been assigned to an incident are listed here. Especially in Comparing these reports to historic data, you will see if you got faster in troubleshooting your causes.

Once you have created your report type, you can save it via the "Save" button and assign a name to the analysis. This will appear analogous to the device analyses in the analysis area in the preselection under the assigned name.
