Goeden dag – WERMA establishes subsidiary in Belgium

WERMA goes global – not due to any “me too” pressure, but as the result of a thorough consideration of how we can offer our customers an even better service – at WERMA’s typically high standards. For this reason, we are strengthening our presence in the core European market: On March 1st 2009 the WERMA BENELUX bvba subsidiary went into action.

New branch office for more local presence
Through the establishment of WERMA BENELUX, we aim to better meet the individual needs and demands of our customers and interested parties, as well as providing an improved all-round service for customers and partners locally. The latest subsidiary guarantees even quicker quote processing, improved local services and even shorter delivery times within the BeNeLux countries.

Gent – Medieval imperial city and important economic centre
The branch sales office, WERMA BENELUX bvba is located in Wondelgem, a borough of Gent. Gent is the capital city of the Belgian province of East Flanders and the district of Gent, which, with its 235,000 inhabitants is the third largest city in Belgium.
Gent is considered a very cosy city – the Flemish call it “gezellig”: Large enough to generate the necessary cultural and economic dynamism and creativity, small enough to remain manageable and retain a personal touch.

Service, competence and advice – all provided locally
From our new centre in Gent we will be servicing the markets in Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg. A special challenge in the region will be accommodating the range of different languages and dialects spoken in the three countries. French, German, Flemish, Dutch, Luxemburgish – five languages and a host of different dialects. This challenge will be met by an experienced and competent team: WERMA’s subsidiary in Belgium will be led by Martine Van Hulle who already has many years experience in the Belgian signal technology market. She will be supported by an experienced team of office and field staff members.

In 2009 we will continue to increase our efforts to meet our own standards and the demands of our customers: With new products, continued improvements in quality, the further training of our employees and the vigorous support of our global subsidiaries and representatives.
