WERMA Signaltechnik welcomes former employees to its traditional Retirees’ Day

Reunions, memories and exciting insights into the company’s future

Once again this year, WERMA Signaltechnik GmbH + Co. KG warmly welcomed its former employees to the traditional Retirees’ Day. Nearly 40 former colleagues accepted the invitation and spent a varied afternoon together, filled with personal encounters, memories and interesting insights into the company’s current developments.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted personally and escorted to the company canteen, where they had the opportunity to catch up with old acquaintances and chat over coffee and cake.

Insights into WERMA’s development

As part of a brief company update, the management team pro-vided information on WERMA’s current development as well as key topics and projects within the company. Of particular interest to the former employees was the overview of the site’s further development and the changes that have taken place in recent years.

A particular highlight of the afternoon was the presentation by Erich Martin and Tobias Kardes from Plant Engineering. Under the title “Fascinating insights into the new building”, the guests were given interesting background information on the new cafeteria and the current construction work at the site.

“Retirees’ Day is far more than just a tradition for us. Many of our former employees have shaped and helped build WERMA over the decades. That is why it is very important to us to maintain the connection and say thank you,” emphasises Matthias Marquardt.

Factory tour with many memories

During the subsequent tour of the premises, guests had the oppor-tunity to revisit their former workplace, meet former colleagues and witness the company’s development at close quarters. In small groups, they made their way through various areas of the company, giving rise to many personal memories and conversations.

A cosy finale in a friendly atmosphere

To round off the afternoon, WERMA hosted a dinner featuring Wienerle, bratwurst and potato salad. The cosy finale was complemented by photos from the previous retirees’ gathering, which brought a smile to many guests’ faces and evoked fond memories. The event demonstrated once again how important personal inter-action and the bond between former and current WERMA employees are – very much in keeping with a corporate culture that values appreciation and community.
