Rotating beacons ensure high visibility and attention thanks to their 360-degree light signal. The frequent use of modern LED technology also ensures energy efficiency, a long service life and the option of using different lighting modes. The compact and robust design enables easy installation and maintenance, while the diversity in design and functionality supports a wide range of applications. Rotating beacons therefore make a significant contribution to safety and efficiency in work processes.

Difference between rotating mirror beacons and rotating beacons

Rotating beacons can be divided into two different categories. In traditional rotating mirror beacons, the light, for example from a halogen lamp, is reflected by a semi-circular mirror that rotates to distribute the light beam in all directions. This mechanical movement creates a rotating beam of light that attracts the viewer's attention.

In contrast, rotating beacons do not necessarily consist of a mirror system. Instead, they can be equipped with LED rods inside, which create a continuous all-round light through their rotating flashing.

Rotating beacon with Fresnel lens for optimum visibility

A Fresnel lens is a special type of lens that is thinner and lighter than a conventional convex lens. It consists of a series of concentric rings, known as "Fresnel zones", which are designed to focus or scatter light in a specific pattern. By using special Fresnel lenses, light beams with a long range can be generated even in poor lighting conditions.
