Monitorable and monitored lights


Beacons for safety-relevant applications


Monitored beacons from WERMA are recommended for use in safety-relevant applications. These are TÜV-certified and can be taken into account in the safety assessment of your machine/system in accordance with EN 13849-1 and EN 62061.

Monitorable lights

If LEDs fail on our monitorable devices, the light automatically switches to fault mode. This can be reliably recognised via a current monitoring relay, for example. After repeatedly checking the status, it remains in fault mode for 30 minutes and then checks the status again.

Monitored lights

Our monitored devices are equipped with a lamp monitoring system that reports the current flow of the LEDs back to two galvanically isolated, potential-free semiconductor outputs A and B. Both outputs are open when the light is not switched on. If a fault occurs, at least one output is opened.
