WERMA managing director Günter Kirn officially opened the new subsidiary WERMA SARL in front over 80 guests.
In her opening address, the German Consul Barbara Beck stated that “We feel honoured that WERMA has chosen the region Rhône-Alpe.” She conveyed the company the best wishes of the General Consulate in Lyon.
The Mayor of Lyon, represented by Guy Montagne, also wished the newly established subsidiary all the best for the future.
France is an important trade partner
„We have come here in order to establish the make WERMA,” stated the subsidiary manager Angèle Labadie, announcing the goal of the new WERMA subsidiary.
In a short space of time the company WERMA Signaltechnik succeeded in establishing its new site.
France is one of the leading industrial nations and Germany’s largest trade partner. The mechanical engineering and plant construction sector – the main customer for WERMA signal devices – has been growing steadily in France. Consequently, the demand for signal towers, blinking and flashing lights has also risen continuously.
This is the main reason why WERMA has built up the French subsidiary in little over three months.
Experts guarantee best possible on-site service
The WERMA-SARL team, composed of five employees, is headed by Angèle Labadie. She has many years of experience in the French signal technology market – as do the Sales Manager Eric Green and the Account Manager Yves Montoulieu. Birgit Betzler from the district of Tuttlingen in Germany will be in charge of bookkeeping and all organisational tasks. The Frenchman, Gilles Martel is responsible for stock keeping.
The new site aims to provide French customers with a wider range of quicker services. WERMA can now deliver catalogue goods in France within 24 hours.
Lyon is situated in Rhône-Alpe, the second biggest metropolitan area in France with 1.3 million inhabitants. Many French mechanical engineering companies are located here. With the new subsidiary in Mions, a district of Lyon, WERMA is now in a position to provide improved on-site services to meet the needs of its customers.
With France, WERMA now has a total of four subsidiaries worldwide: The company already has a presence in Switzerland, China and Great Britain. With a global sales network, the dynamic signal technology manufacturer from Swabia intends to strengthen its worldwide market position.
